Product Development

New England Electropolishing assigns its Product Development Team the task of working with manufacturers to develop the best electropolishing process for your parts. This Product Development Team consults with our customers’ designers, engineers, and quality assurance managers when establishing the parameters for new parts. They run sample lots then test and analyze the results to ensure that specific tolerance, deburring, brightness, RA and corrosion resistance requirements are met. If any of these areas fails to meet standards, additional sample lots are run until the customer’s requirements are fully satisfied.

Every part NEE electropolishes receives specific computerized procedures detailing all operating parameters to include:

  • Acid Pickling
  • Time
  • Amperage
  • Voltage
  • Specific Bath
  • Temperature
  • Pre-Cleaning
  • Cathode Configuration
  • Removal Rate
  • Racking
  • Rinsing
  • Drying
  • Packaging
  • Agitation

Strict attention to detail allows us to meet or exceed all specific customer requirements. Every job progresses through our plant with a detailed "work ticket" and all of our trained operators and inspectors are required to initial and verify that they performed all of the necessary operations. NEE provides complete job traceability by lot and order number and, for your convenience, keeps these records for up to five years.
